KENT COUNTY, MI – A former gymnastics coach has been extradited to Kent County where he faces local charges for sexually assaulting five children from 2006 to 2008. Investigators have learned new details about Shannon James Guay and his connection to the area since his arrest earlier this month in Punta Gorda, Florida. Guay, 49, was extradited this week and arraigned Thursday morning, May 25, in a Kent County district courtroom. He faces six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and seven counts of second-degree CSC.
